Join to apply for the Slitting Machine Operator | 1st Shift: 7A – 3P role at Novacel.

We are seeking a detail-oriented Slitting Operator to set up, operate, and maintain slitting machines, ensuring precise cuts and adherence to quality standards in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Shifts & Pay: Shift differentials are provided! Employees scheduled to work a majority of their hours during the 2nd or 3rd shift will receive the appropriate shift differential.

• 1st Shift: 7A – 3P — $18.89
• 2nd Shift: 3P – 11P — Base + $1.50

Responsibilities:

• Set up and operate slitting machines according to specifications.
• Monitor production for accurate cuts and proper material alignment.
• Perform routine maintenance and troubleshoot machine issues.
• Inspect finished products for defects and quality compliance.
• Adjust machine settings to optimize efficiency and material usage.
• Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean work environment.
• Collaborate with team members to meet production goals.
• Perform other tasks as assigned.

Qualifications:

Knowledge: At least 1 year of experience as a machine operator in coating, slitting, laminating, or similar roles, with a high school diploma or equivalent.

Skills:

• Experience with slitting or similar machinery preferred.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to interpret job orders, measurements, and specifications.
• Attention to detail and quality focus.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, team environment.
• Basic safety and maintenance knowledge.

Work Environment:

• Constant standing, walking, repetitive motions, and coordination.
• Frequent lifting/carrying up to 50 lbs, climbing, balancing, and other physical activities.

• Shift-based schedule with potential overtime.
