Your role at Clorox:
The Clorox Company is seeking a qualified candidate for a Molding Associate position at our Aberdeen, MD facility. This facility uses automated packaging equipment and utilities to manufacture and distribute Clorox Liquid Bleach products. As a Molding Associate you will be responsible for operating blow molding equipment to produce high-quality plastic containers. This role requires a thorough understanding of the blow molding process, including melting, extruding, and molding plastic. You will ensure set up, operate, and tend to plastic molding, casting, or core making machines to mold, cast, or tend to thermoplastic parts or products. Given the nature of the work, which involves high-temperature equipment and moving machinery, maintaining focus and being aware of the overall operation is essential.In this role, you will:
Start and Operate Equipment: Initiate the blow molder and operate moving machinery, place materials into molds, load materials into production equipment.
Adjust temperature controls of heating equipment.
Material Handling: Unload supplies from trucks and rail cars.
Equipment Management: Operate, monitor, and adjust equipment along the production line.
Quality Control: Inspect bottles before, during, and to finish product to ensure quality standards.
Inventory Management: Store and retrieve excess bottles from the warehouse.
Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance and troubleshoot hydraulic, pneumatic, mechanical, and electrical equipment.
Repairs: Conduct equipment repairs as needed.
Housekeeping: Perform maintenance work such as cleaning and oiling machines, Smooth and clean inner surfaces of molds, using brushes, scrapers, air hoses, or grinding wheels, and fill imperfections with refractory material.
Reporting: Prepare reports and take inventory, maintain inventories of materials.
Data Entry: Enter data into computer systems. (Quality and Shifts reports)
Additional Duties: Perform other duties as assigned.

Operations Monitoring — Watching gauges, dials, or other indicators to make sure a machine is working properly.

Monitoring/Assessing performance of yourself, other individuals, or organizations to make improvements or take corrective action.
Controlling operations of equipment or systems.
Reading Comprehension — Understanding written sentences and paragraphs in work-related documents.
Using logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions, or approaches to problems.
Conducting tests and inspections of products, services, or processes to evaluate quality or performance.
Time Management — Managing one's own time and the time of others.
Minimum Qualifications:
High School diploma or equivalent.
Minimum of 2 years direct experience in Packaging, Molding, and Palletizing operator experience in a manufacturing environment.
Effective written and communication skills.
Basic computer knowledge, including MS Office and Email.
Shift Flexibility: Ability to work different shifts should business needs arise (1st, 2nd, or 3rd shift).
Physical ability to lift to 50 lbs. and stand/walk for up to 8 hours per shift.

Preferred Qualifications:
5 years of operator experience in a manufacturing environment.Transferable skills such as experience with packaging equipment, auto mechanics, maintenance, blow molding, electrical, or machine shop.
Enterprise resource planning ERP software — SAP software.
Office suite software — Microsoft Office 365 suites software.
Proven experience in operations, preferably with a military background.
