Slitting Machine Operator | 2nd Shift: 3P – 11P

Join us as a Slitting Machine Operator at Novacel. We are seeking a detail-oriented individual to set up, operate, and maintain slitting machines, ensuring precise cuts and adherence to quality standards in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Shifts & Pay

Shift Differentials: Employees working predominantly during the 2nd or 3rd shift will receive appropriate shift differentials.
- 1st Shift: 7A – 3P, $18.89/hr
- 2nd Shift: 3P – 11P, Base + $1.50/hr

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate slitting machines according to job specifications.
• Monitor production for accurate cuts and proper material alignment.
• Perform routine maintenance and troubleshoot machine issues to minimize downtime.
• Inspect finished products for defects and ensure quality standards.
• Adjust machine settings to optimize efficiency and material usage.
• Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean work environment.
• Collaborate with team members to meet workflow and production goals.
• Perform other tasks as assigned.

Qualifications

Knowledge: Minimum 1 year of experience as a machine operator in coating, slitting, laminating, or similar manufacturing roles, with a high school diploma or equivalent.

Skills:

• Experience operating slitting or similar machinery preferred.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to interpret job orders, measurements, and specifications.
• Attention to detail and commitment to quality control.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
• Basic safety and maintenance knowledge.

Work Environment

• Constant standing, walking, repetitive motions, and coordination.
• Frequent lifting/carrying up to 50 lbs., climbing, balancing, and other physical activities.
• Exposure to noise and materials related to the slitting process.
• Shift-based schedule with potential overtime.
