Job summary

Georgia-Pacific in Milford, NJ is seeking safety-oriented Machine Operators for 1st, 2nd, or 3rd shift. Starting pay is $24.25 per hour with 2nd and 3rd shift differentials of $1.50 and $2.00 per hour, respectively.

The role offers potential performance pay up to 6% quarterly and opportunities to increase compensation based on skills and plant performance. Orientation will occur on 1st shift with permanent shift assignment after about 30 days.

Qualifications

• Ability to effectively communicate verbally and in writing.
• Knowledge of machines and tools, including their designs, uses, repair and maintenance.
• Experience using a computer, tablet, or smart device.
• One year or more experience in manufacturing/industrial environment.
• Experience in corrugated packaging industry.

Responsibilities

• Operate equipment to defined standards and product specification targets.
• Monitor and/or entry into computer control systems.
• Troubleshoot equipment to optimize production.
• Perform basic asset care duties including preventative maintenance and clean work area.
• Work as a team to meet or exceed production, waste, quality, and safety goals.
• Operate and/or work around mobile equipment.
