Job summary

Georgia-Pacific in Sheboygan, WI is seeking motivated Machine Operators who value safety to join our team. You will operate the production line, perform minor repairs, and continuously seek improvements to reduce waste and boost output.

You’ll work across shifts, including potential overtime and weekends, with a focus on safety, quality, and teamwork. Training and support for staff development are provided as part of daily operations.

Qualifications

• Experience in a manufacturing, agricultural, warehouse or military environment or completion of post-high school education in manufacturing/industrial.
• Previous experience operating production machinery.

Responsibilities

• Operate the line with minimal supervision while maintaining productivity, waste and quality standards.
• Perform minor mechanical repairs and adjustments; operate in line systems with minimal supervision.
• Look for improvements to reduce waste and increase production within quality standards.
• Promote safety through employee involvement, ownership and accountability.
• Communicate effectively, verbally and in writing.
• Operate equipment to defined standards and product specification targets.
• Monitor and/or input data into computer control systems.
• Troubleshoot equipment to optimize production.
• Collaborate with teammates to ensure smooth operations.
• Perform routine preventative maintenance and keep work area clean.
• Adhere to safety protocols and company policies.
