Job summary

Georgia-Pacific is seeking a Lead Machine Operator in Jonestown, PA to join a safety‑mocused team. The role offers $33.50 per hour with a $1.00 shift differential for night hours and a potential up to 6% quarterly bonus through the Performance Pay program.

Responsibilities include leading line teams on rotating 12‑hour shifts, performing makeready, and supporting maintenance. Strong safety focus and attendance discipline are required.

Qualifications

• 2+ years experience operating production machinery.
• Lead/leadership experience in a manufacturing, military, or industrial environment.
• Experience in web manufacturing, converting, or other high-volume production operations.
• Knowledge of machines and tools, including their designs, uses, repair and maintenance.
• Rotating 12-hour shifts with a 7-day break in a 28-day period.

Responsibilities

• Lead teams on one or more lines with minimal supervision and direct assistants to maintain safety, productivity and quality.
• Perform makeready/changeover setups according to production schedules.
• Assist with preventative maintenance tasks and minor repairs.
• Identify improvements to reduce waste and increase production.
• Promote safety and maintain accurate quality records.
