JOB DETAILS

Base Pay: $22.00 per hour

1st Shift: Monday-Friday, 7 am-3 pm

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The Production Associate 4 (PA4) is a training position through which Associates may advance to the Production Associate 5 (PA5) position. Associates will learn to operate extrusion lines and produce vinyl siding products and accessories, ensuring outputs meet product specifications and quality standards through inspection.

Associates must be in the PA4 position for at least 6 months and pass proficiency tests to qualify for promotion to PA5. Those unable to pass within 12 months will be demoted to their previous position.

• Learn to verify operational status of all equipment on assigned line
• Maintain extruder and peripheral equipment settings to produce consistent outputs
• Conduct quality assurance tests on finished products
• Report deviations for correction
• Communicate with Maintenance and Supervisors about malfunctions
• Assist with troubleshooting and changeovers during shifts
• Perform line checks for product consistency
• Maintain cleanliness and housekeeping of work area
• Supervise and assist other Associates to ensure quality and efficiency
• Relieve other production associates for breaks
• Share knowledge and communicate shift information
• Complete all operational and QA paperwork accurately
• Follow production schedule and specifications
• Perform safety checks and adhere to health and safety practices
• Assist with training new personnel and floats for coverage
• Participate in safety programs and meetings
• Perform equipment maintenance as needed

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED
• Minimum six months related or production experience
• Ability to perform functions of lower-level production roles
• Basic reading, writing, and mechanical skills
• Good mechanical and math aptitude
• Positive attitude, good attendance, safety-conscious, team player
• Effective communication skills
• Detail-oriented with ability to operate test equipment
• Ability to learn computer and ten-key operation
• Ability to use calipers and micrometers accurately
• Ability to lift up to 86 lbs repeatedly and team lift 87-100 lbs
• Manual dexterity and physical stamina
• Adverse weather conditions awareness
• Proper PPE and safety equipment usage
