Steel Worker/Crane Operator

LSI Staffing is a premier staffing agency connecting talented individuals with leading companies in the manufacturing and industrial sectors. We are currently seeking motivated and skilled Steel Workers/Crane Operators for a reputable client in North Kansas City.

Job Summary:

We are looking for experienced Steel Workers with Crane Operation and CNC skills for a 2nd shift position. This opportunity is for candidates with prior steel metal work experience. Initial training will be on the 1st shift, with a transition to the 2nd shift.

Responsibilities:

1. Operate overhead cranes to move and position steel materials safely and efficiently.
2. Use forklifts to load, unload, and transport steel products within the facility.
3. Operate CNC machinery for metal processing.
4. Use plasma cutters to cut steel to specific dimensions.
5. Perform "cut to length" operations on steel materials.
6. Assist with various steel metalworking tasks as needed.
7. Follow all safety procedures and guidelines.
8. Maintain a clean and organized work area.

Qualifications:

1. Prior experience in steel metal work is strongly desired.
2. Experience operating overhead cranes.
3. Proven forklift operating experience.
4. Experience with CNC machines is highly preferred.
5. Proficiency with plasma cutting equipment.
6. Experience with "cut to length" processes.
7. Ability to read work orders and blueprints.
8. Strong understanding of safety regulations in steel work environments.
9. Ability to lift and move heavy materials.
10. Reliable work ethic.

Shift and Compensation:

1. Training (1-2 weeks): 1st Shift, Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM at $20.00/hour.
2. Regular Shift: 2nd Shift, Monday - Friday, 5:00 PM - 1:30 AM at $20.00/hour.
