Ahead, LLC in New Bedford, MA is seeking an Embroidery Machine Operator to run a 12-head embroidery machine and ensure high quality production. The role starts as level 1E during training and advances to level 1 upon certification.

Schedule is 3:30 pm–12:00 am, Monday through Friday, with overtime as needed. The operator should meet production and quality standards and prepare items for production, while performing basic machine maintenance and adhering to safety practices.

Job description

The level 1E machine operator is responsible for operating one 12 head embroidery machine and ensuring a high level of quality and production. The machine operator will be considered a level 1E operator until they are fully trained and certified that they are capable to be productive on the embroidery machine. At that point the level 1E machine operator will be moved to a level 1 machine operator and no longer in training.

SCHEDULE -

3:30 pm - 12:00 am; Monday – Friday with Overtime during the week as required.

DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES

• Meet and exceed production standards

• Remove Pellon from inside of product

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

• Ability to use hands, fingers and arms to touch, handle, pinch or grasp
• Ability to demonstrate fine dexterity skillsAbility to walk, bend, reach, kneel and crouch
• Ability to lift 50 pounds
• Ability to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as needed

WORK ENVIRONMENT

• Exposure to moderate noise level.
