Ahead, LLC is seeking an Apparel Trimmer Packer in New Bedford, MA to trim excess Pellon and yarns from embroidered apparel and headwear. You will steam, fold, and prepare garments for bags while upholding quality and production standards.

The role requires reading instructions in English, basic math, and the ability to work in a fast-paced team. High school diploma preferred; manufacturing experience is a plus. Benefits include medical and 401(k).

Job description

The Apparel Trimmer Packer is responsible for trimming excess Pellon and loose threads from apparel and headwear after they are embroidered. This position is also responsible for steaming and folding garments to be placed in bags. This position is also responsible for maintaining quality and production company standards.

SCHEDULE - 7

: 00 am – 3:30 pm Monday – Friday with Overtime (Saturday 7am – noon) as required.

LOCATION -

270 Samuel Barnet Blvd, New Bedford, MA 02745

DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES

• Trim excess Pellon and threads off apparel and headwear.
• Steam and remove Solvy off apparel and headwear.
• Perform quality inspection to apparel and headwear.
• Additional duties as assigned.

REQUIRED SKILLS/ABILITIES

• Ability to follow verbal directions.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Manufacturing experience.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

• Ability to stand for extended periods of time.
• Repetitive use of hands, fingers, and arms to handle, push/pull, touch, pinch, or grasp.
• Ability to walk about the facility.
• Ability to climb, bend, reach, kneel and crouch.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

• Exposure to moderate noise level.
