Ahead, LLC is seeking an Apparel Trimmer Packer to trim excess Pellon and threads from embroidered apparel and headwear. You will steam, fold, and prepare items for packaging while upholding quality standards and production guidelines.

The role requires the ability to follow verbal directions, read English instructions, perform basic math, and work effectively in a fast-paced team environment. Manufacturing experience is preferred.

Job description

The Apparel Trimmer Packer is responsible for trimming excess Pellon and loose threads from apparel and headwear after they are embroidered. This position is also responsible for steaming and folding garments to be placed in bags. This position is also responsible for maintaining quality and production company standards.

SCHEDULE

-3:30 pm – 12:00 am Monday – Friday with Overtime (during the week) as required.

LOCATION

- 270 Samuel Barnet Blvd, New Bedford, MA 02745 On-site only; remote work is not available.

DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES

• Trim excess Pellon and threads off apparel and headwear.
• Steam and remove Solvy off apparel and headwear.
• Perform quality inspection to apparel and headwear.
• Additional duties as assigned.

REQUIRED SKILLS/ABILITIES

• Ability to follow verbal directions.
• Ability to read instructions in English.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Manufacturing experience.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

• Ability to stand for extended periods of time.
• Repetitive use of hands, fingers, and arms to handle, push/pull, touch, pinch, or grasp.
• Ability to walk about the facility.
• Ability to climb, bend, reach, kneel and crouch.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

• Exposure to moderate noise level.

VISION REQUIREMENT:

• Close and distance vision

PERSONAL PROTECTIVE EQUIPMENT:

• Closed toe footwear is required when entering the Production Floor.
