Job summary

Clorox Company is hiring a machine operator at our Atlanta-Main facility to operate, maintain and troubleshoot production line equipment for Home Care and Laundry products. You will work on automated packaging lines, perform changeovers, fix malfunctions, and ensure quality throughout shifts.

The role requires safety mindedness and the ability to document maintenance activities. The position offers a 12-hour shift with a $24.63 hourly rate plus applicable overnight differential, a competitive

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; vocational/technical or mechanical coursework preferred.
• Minimum 2 years as a machine operator in manufacturing; 3+ years preferred.
• Ability to troubleshoot and call out minor repairs to mechanical issues during jams, adjustments, and calibrations.
• Mechanical technical skills are highly preferred.
• Knowledge of packaging equipment, GMPs, 5S, and quality control principles.

Responsibilities

• Operate packaging equipment and ensure proper setup and maintenance.
• Perform changeovers following established procedures.
• Repair equipment malfunctions using mechanical knowledge.
• Identify and resolve quality problems to meet standards.
• Maintain inventory of supplies and order replacements as needed.
• Assist with improvement projects and equipment installations with engineering support.
• Follow safety procedures and document maintenance work.
• Attend training on new equipment and technologies.
