ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Set up, operate, and adjust production equipment using appropriate tools and procedures.
2. Keep machines operating according to procedures and in good condition.
3. Communicate machine malfunctions with Team Lead, Supervisor, or Maintenance.
4. Understand production requirements and schedules with guidance from Team Lead or Supervisor.
5. Perform to machine goals.
6. Cross-train on various job functions within the production facility.
7. Work effectively in a team environment.
8. Direct, assist, and train helpers to perform necessary functions.
9. Perform other duties as assigned.

SAFETY:

1. Follow all safety rules and operational procedures.
2. Perform Lockout procedures as required by mill-specific Lockout JSA.
3. Wear and maintain all appropriate PPE.
4. Understand safety devices and their operation; notify management of any malfunctions or missing devices before operating machinery.

QUALITY:

1. Perform quality checks, including routine checks for part dimensions using appropriate tools.
2. Maintain all quality paperwork legibly.
3. Perform routine maintenance and report issues to maintenance personnel that may affect safety, production, or cause further problems.
4. Assist maintenance personnel as directed.

HOUSEKEEPING:

1. Maintain a clean and organized work station.

OTHER:

1. Be willing to train in multiple production areas within the facility.
2. Complete all necessary paperwork.
