Job summary

Cornerstone Building Brands is seeking a reliable manufacturing support team member to assist with daily production and inventory tasks. The role requires reading tape measures, using hand tools, and potential forklift operation, with overtime and weekend work as needed.

Responsibilities include safe handling of customer orders, preventive maintenance, and maintaining a clean, organized work area in compliance with safety policies.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Must be at least eighteen (18) years old.
• Able to lift up to 25 pounds repeatedly.
• Able to become certified to operate a forklift.
• Flexible with overtime and weekends when needed.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine preventive maintenance and daily equipment inspections.
• Assist co-workers and customers.

• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area per safety policies.
• Assist in movement of inventory between workstations and areas.
• Assist with inventory control and material tracking when necessary.
• Follow OSHA, safety and quality procedures at all times.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Provide customer responsive and efficient manufacturing support activities
• Complete work assignments and customer orders safely, accurately, timely and without damage
• Perform routine preventive maintenance and daily equipment inspections.
• Assist co-workers and customers
• Quality and Safety Inspect materials, products, machinery, tools and equipment
• Assist with inventory management activities including daily updates to the ERP system
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area in accordance with company safety policies.
• Assist in the movement of inventory within and among workstations and areas
• Assist with inventory control and material tracking when necessary.
• Comply with all safety requirements and use applicable personal protective equipment
• Follow all OSHA, company safety, and quality procedures at all times.

Qualifications

• Must be at least eighteen (18) years of age
• High school diploma or GED required
• Verifiable Dependability and Energetic
• Requires experience with hand tools, wrenches, banding equipment, and nail guns
• Able to read a tape measure and other measuring devices
• A combination of education and experience may be qualifying
• Ability to lift up to 25pounds on a continual basis above shoulder height and below the waist
• Must be able to become certified to operate a forklift vehicle and overhead crane
• Flexible with working overtime and weekends when needed

Additional Information

This is a position with the potential overtime. The shifts are 8 hours, 10 hours, and 12 hours long depending on work orders for the day and season of the year. Must be able to work O/T and weekends on short notice.
