Aerotek is seeking a Machine Operator for our Wilmington, DE site in a heavy industrial setting. You will set up, operate, and monitor equipment such as rolling mills, CNC machines, and lathes, ensuring product quality and adherence to specs.

You will perform routine maintenance, troubleshoot issues with the maintenance team, and follow safety protocols. This role is contract-to-hire with a steady Monday–Friday schedule and competitive hourly pay.

Competenze

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical training preferred.
• At least 2 years of experience operating heavy industrial machinery.
• Familiarity with CNC programming is a plus.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs.

Aerotek is hiring for Machine Operators in New Castle, DE. This is a contract-to-hire position in a heavy industrial setting.

Job Description

As a Machine Operator, you will be responsible for setting up, operating, and monitoring equipment such as rolling mills, CNC machines, and lathes. You will make precise adjustments to machine settings to meet product specifications and ensure consistent quality. Loading raw materials and safely handling finished products are integral parts of your daily routine.

Responsibilities

• Adjust machine settings to meet specifications and inspect finished products for accuracy.
• Perform routine maintenance, identify issues, and collaborate with the maintenance team for repairs.
• Follow all safety protocols, wear personal protective equipment, and report hazards promptly.
• Communicate effectively with team members and participate in training sessions to enhance your skills.

Essential Skills

• Proficiency in machine operation including roll forming, press brake, and punch press.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to utilize computer software for operational tasks.
• Proficiency in operating and troubleshooting industrial machinery.
• Basic understanding of mechanical systems, hydraulics, and pneumatics.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

Work Environment

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $21.00 - $23.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
