Job summary

Westfall Technik Inc. in Wakefield, MA is seeking a Machine Operator for the 2nd shift (Mon-Fri 3pm-11pm). You will operate molding presses, perform quick quality checks, and help maintain a safe, organized production area.

The role emphasizes adherence to work instructions, attention to detail, and teamwork. A high school diploma is required; manufacturing experience is preferred. Competitive pay of $17.00/hour with a $1.00 shift differential, plus holidays and benefits.

Qualifications

We are currently seeking Machine Operator, with the below qualifications:

Shift: 2nd Shift, Mon-Fri 3pm-11pm

Professional Attributes

• High school diploma or equivalent is required
• Prior manufacturing experience is desired, but not required
• Positive outlook while working through obstacles
• Self-starter, high level of initiative

Desired Skills and Experience

• Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-speed environment, follow standardized work instructions and adhere to safe work practices in a continuous improvement environment
• Operate molding presses
• Check parts using a micrometer, if applicable
• Check parts for quality defects such as cracks and chip outs
• Trim and inspect parts as needed by customer specification, if applicable
• Follow work instructions on the process and desired quality needed with each production run
• Count, organize and package parts per requirements
• Properly complete all shift paperwork per work instructions
• Communicates all part defects or problems regarding production issues to Lead, Technician, and/or Supervisor
• Maintain a clean and safe working environment
• Work as a team
• Other duties as assigned
