Job summary

Westfall Technik, LLC in Asheboro, NC seeks a Process Technician to start machines, troubleshoot alarms, and support mold maintenance. You will collaborate with toolroom on cavity changes, ensure efficient operation, and uphold safety policies.

A strong foundation in molding principles and reading blueprints is required. The role emphasizes mechanical aptitude, communication, and teamwork within a fast-growing plastics injection environment.

Qualifications

• Knowledge and application of scientific molding principles.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting methodology.
• Prior knowledge of materials, equipment function, processing and machine operation in Injection Molding.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Proficiency at reading, interpreting, and utilizing all machine, product and work order documentation along with blueprints.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for machine start-ups.
• First response to all machine and secondary equipment alarms.
• Assist toolroom in changing cavities, slides, or cores; analyze and recommend tool improvements.
• Maintain a clean, safe work area and comply with safety policies.
• Ensure machines and robots run at maximum efficiency.
• Troubleshoot mold problems.
• Complete paperwork accurately and consistently.
• Report issues to Shift Supervisor.

We are currently seeking Process Technician, with the below qualifications:

Position Details

• Responsible for machine start-ups
• First response to all machine and secondary equipment alarms
• Assist toolroom in changing of cavities, slides, or cores, as needed. Analyze and make recommendations for improving tools
• Maintain a clean, safe work area and perform all job responsibilities in compliance with company safety policies and procedures.
• Ensure machines and robots are running at maximum efficiency
• Troubleshoot mold problems
• Responsible for the consistent and accurate completion of paperwork.
• Responsible for mold changing activities
• Responsible for maintaining the appearance of all molds and other equipment
• Report to Shift Supervisor any Issues requiring attention.

Desired Skills And Experience

• Knowledge and application of scientific molding principles

• Prior knowledge of materials, equipment function, processing and machine operation in Injection Molding
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Proficiency at reading, interpreting, and utilizing all machine, product and work order documentation along with blueprints
• Proficient with Mold setup activities, working with Maintenance on problems and use of state-of-the-art controls on machines and robot/ automation.
• High school diploma or equivalent
• One-year certificate from college or technical school; or three to six years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
