Job summary

Westfall Technik seeks a Machine Operator for 2nd shift (3pm–11pm) at our Wakefield location. You will operate molding presses, inspect parts, and ensure quality per customer specifications while maintaining a clean, safe work area and documenting shift activities.

Qualifications include a HS diploma or equivalent and strong attention to detail. Prior manufacturing experience is helpful; teamwork and proactive communication are essential commitments in this role.

Responsibilities

• Operate molding presses.
• Check parts for quality defects.
• Count, organize and package parts per requirements.

• Maintain a clean and safe working environment.
• Communicate part defects or production issues to Lead Technician or Supervisor.

Professional Attributes

• High school diploma or equivalent is required
• Prior manufacturing experience is desired but not required
• Positive outlook while working through obstacles
• Self starter high level of initiative
• Detail orientated
• Good time management skills
• Good communication skills written verbal active listening

Desired Skills and Experience

• Ability to work in a fast paced high speed environment follow standardized work instructions and adhere to safe work practices in a continuous improvement environment
• Operate molding presses
• Check parts using a micrometer if applicable
• Check parts for quality defects such as cracks and chip outs
• Trim and inspect parts as needed by customer specification if applicable
• Follow work instructions on the process and desired quality needed with each production run
• Count organize and package parts per requirements
• Properly complete all shift paperwork per work instructions
• Communicates all part defects or problems regarding production issues to Lead Technician andor Supervisor
• Maintain a clean and safe working environment
• Work as a team
• Other duties as assigned
