Job summary

ProAmpac is seeking a production/operations team member to support daily manufacturing activities in a climate-controlled warehouse. The role involves reading specifications, maintaining product quality per audits, and preparing for upcoming jobs while performing routine machine maintenance and material handling.

You will collaborate with multiple departments, operate equipment including forklifts, and assist with packing and shipping preparation.

Qualifications

• Reads specifications and schedules to prepare for upcoming jobs.
• Maintains quality according to audit specifications.
• Reads and follows shift-specific procedures and safety requirements.

Responsibilities

• Communicate effectively with department teams to maintain a cohesive shift.
• Perform machine maintenance and operate warehouse equipment as needed.
• Palletize rolls, wrap for shipping, and tie bales on balers.
• Set up core cutter and cut cores; prepare next crew for shift change.
• All other duties as assigned.

• All other duties as assigned.

Shift

2-2-3 rotation between days and nights

Work Environment

• Work primarily in a manufacturing or warehouse environment. Hearing protection, safety shoes, vision protection and other necessary PPE as required.
• May be exposed to non-toxic/nuisance smells from chemicals, inks, airborne dust, moving mechanical parts, high noise levels and hot/humid environmental conditions in the manufacturing area.

• This role will regularly use plant machinery which certification may be required. This role routinely works around moving equipment. May need to get on and off equipment, stairs, this role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines. Employee is regularly required to stand; walk; use hands/fingers to type, hold, handle, or feel; and reach with hands and arms. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
