Job summary

ProAmpac, a leading global flexible packaging company, is seeking an Operator to support production on 12-hour night shifts (Mon-Fri, 5pm–5am) in Walden, NY. The role involves assisting machine operators and handling materials to keep lines running efficiently.

Starting pay is $19.50 per hour with $1 night differential, overtime after 40 hours at $29.25, and a path to Operator Trainee at $23 and Converting Operator at $25.

Responsibilities

• Assists machine operators in the operation, repair and maintenance of equipment.
• Handle raw materials and finished products, including loading and unloading materials.
• Packing of finished products into boxes, ensuring proper packaging and labeling in accordance with company standards.
• Inspect products for defects and ensure they meet quality standard, reporting any product defects to management.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area, cleaning workstations, removing debris, and following established protocols for waste disposal.
• Adhere to all safety guidelines and protocols to maintain a safe working environment.
• Perform basic maintenance tasks on machinery and equipment, reporting any issues to the maintenance team.
• Work cooperatively with other team members and communicate effectively to ensure seamless production processes.
• Maintain accurate production documentation as required.
• All other duties as assigned.

Hours

Monday - Friday 5pm to 5am 12-hour shifts. 60-hour work week.

Pay

$19.50 plus a $1 night shift differential. Overtime after 40 hours at a $29.25 overtime rate. Opportunity available for promotion into the Operator Trainee program at $23/hr. Once successfully completing the Operator Trainee program you will be promoted to a Converting Operator at $25/hr.
