Job summary

ProAmpac is seeking a full-time night-shift operator in Franklin Park, IL to run rewinder machinery and manage material loading, calibration, and documentation. This role ensures product quality and production targets are met in a climate-controlled setting.

Requirements include a High School diploma or GED and 2–4 years of manufacturing experience; the shift runs 10:00 PM–6:00 AM. Benefits include comprehensive insurance, 401(k) matching, PTO, and tuition reimbursement.

Responsibilities

• Sets up, operates, and monitors rewinder machinery. Complete all necessary documentation.
• Load materials, adjust settings, calibrate equipment, and palletize materials according to job.
• Monitors the production process, inspects and tests materials and equipment using safe and proper protocols to ensure quality and quotas.
• Troubleshoot equipment malfunctions and assist with routine maintenance; keep area clean and organized.
• Train and assist team members and other departments as needed.

Salary Range: $20.00-24.00/hour (pending experience)

Hours: Monday - Friday / 10:00 PM – 6:00 AM

Work Environment

Work primarily in a climate controlled indoor environment with minimal safety/health hazard potential. Safety shoes and vision protection required, hearing protection required in some areas.

This role operates primarily in a manufacturing environment. Employee may be exposed to non-toxic/nuisance smells from chemicals, airborne dust, moving mechanical parts, moderate noise levels, and hot/humid manufacturing environment.

This role will regularly use plant machinery which certification may be required. This role routinely works around moving equipment. Employee is regularly required to stand; walk; use hands/fingers to type, hold, handle, or feel; and reach with hands and arms. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
