Job summary

ProAmpac in Westfield, MA is hiring for an Operations/Production role with a 4 on / 4 off schedule and 12-hour shifts. You’ll handle packaging, labeling, and material movement in a fast-paced, safety-focused environment.

Required: High School Diploma, good math and reading skills, ability to work independently or on a team. Benefits include 401(k) matching, medical/dental/vision, life and disability insurance, plus wellness incentives.

Qualifications

• Good math and reading skills are required.
• Experience operating similar equipment is preferred.
• Ability to work independently or in a team with clear communication and organization.
• Valid state driver’s license is required.
• Strong time management and multitasking abilities.

Responsibilities

• Make corrections for non-conforming material and notify operator.
• Ensure proper packaging and labeling of finished product.
• Move material by hand, forklift, roll handler and shuttle.
• Create internal packing lists.
• Monitor and control the process when operator is absent.
• Keep wrapping area clean prior to wrapping rolls.
• Manage recycling racks.
• Set up and clean equipment.
• Perform other duties as needed.

Essential Duties and Tasks

• Responsible for ensuring the wrapping area is cleaned prior to wrapping rolls.

• Recycling racks.

• Set-up and Clean-up machine.

• Other assignments or tasks as needed.

Qualifications, Education and Experience

• High School Diploma or equivalent.

• Good math and reading skills required.

• Prior operation of same or similar equipment preferred

• Work independently and as part of a team, effectively communicate, good math and mechanical skills, get along with others, positive attitude and well organized.

• Valid state issued driver’s license.

• Exceptional time management and organization skills. Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously establishing priorities to meet deadlines.

• Proactive; exercises sound judgment and decision making; able to identify problems and needs and develop solutions and/or options.

• Self-confident, self-motivated individual who thrives in a challenging, fast-paced environment.
