Job summary

Storm-Search- is seeking a Machine Operator for 2nd shift to operate production machinery and support assembly lines. The role includes reading blueprints, performing quality checks, maintaining documentation, and ensuring safety and efficiency on the factory floor.

The candidate should have manufacturing experience, the ability to read gauges and blueprints, and be comfortable with a fast-paced environment. Physical requirements include lifting up to 40 lbs and standing for an 8-hour shift.

Qualifications

  • Previous manufacturing or production experience preferred.
  • Ability to safely operate a variety of production machines.
  • Basic blueprint and measurement/gauge-reading skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
  • High School Diploma OR GED

Responsibilities

  • Operate production machinery safely and efficiently according to schedules, travelers, routings and work instructions.
  • Machine, handle, deburr, clean, and package products per job requirements and quality procedures.
  • Maintain accurate product counts and ensure parts meet production requirements.
  • Complete required production documentation, forms, labels, and computer records accurately.
  • Perform in-process quality inspections using gauges, measuring tools, and visual inspection techniques.
  • Read and understand basic blueprints, job travelers, and manufacturing instructions.
  • Record labor hours, rework, and scrap in the company system.
  • Perform basic operator maintenance and identify machine issues needing maintenance or repair.
  • Maintain a clean, organized and safe work area.
  • Follow all safety, quality and production procedures.
  • Perform repetitive tasks while adapting to changing assignments and priorities.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Supervisor.
