Job description

As a Machine Operator II, you are responsible for performing various duties including staging and loading parts, and performing specific jobs based off customer requirements. Must be responsible and comply with all safety guidelines. Attention to detail, and great mechanical aptitude are also essential. Must be able to comply with all safety guidelines and keep your work area clean using 5S principles.

Shift Schedules (Mon-Fri):
  • Shift 1: 6:00 a.m. – 2:30 p.m.
  • Shift 2: 1:30 p.m. – 10:00 p.m.
Responsibilities (Essential Functions):
  • Independently set up and operate machinery safely and efficiently.
  • Perform preproduction daily maintenance and equipment inspections.
  • Review production schedule to assure production materials are loaded to maintain production efficiencies. Must be able to identify material being machined.
  • Fill out required daily production and maintenance reports.
  • Visually inspect production material for defects or damage and report and document any findings.
  • Maintain adequate supplies for efficient production of parts and coordinate with Supervisor when materials are needed.
  • Always adhere to safety standards and report issues concerning safety, quality, and productivity immediately.
  • Understand company safety and quality policies.
  • Assist with plant and yard activities as needed and requested.
  • All other duties as assigned.
Experience, Education, & License Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • 2 - 4 years of experience operating machinery in a production environment required.
  • 2 - 4 years’ experience working in a production environment required.
Skills & Abilities:
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to set up and properly operate machine.
  • Ability to perform daily and preoperational maintenance.
  • Must be able to work machine safely and accurately with great concentration and precision.
  • Ability to identify equipment issues when they arise.
  • Must be able to work with hands for pushing, pulling, and rolling pipe when needed.
  • Must be able to lift up to 70 lbs.
  • Ability to follow daily production schedules.
  • Ability to operate hand tools.
  • Ability to accurately read a tape measure and micrometer.
  • Ability to identify the material differences.

Qualifications Education:
  • High School Diploma.
