Job summary

UFP Industries in Grandview, TX is seeking a Machine Operator I to set up and operate production equipment following established procedures. You will secure and maintain materials needed on the line and ensure risk-free, efficient operation.

Responsibilities include completing pre-shift inspections, maintaining clean work areas, recording production data, and adhering to safety and quality standards while contributing to continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 6 months of experience in manufacturing and/or assembling is required.
• High school diploma/GED is preferred but not required.
• Working knowledge of basic math preferred.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.

Responsibilities

• Set up production area and operate the machine per procedures.
• Feed the machine safely and efficiently.
• Stack and label/pack components as needed.
• Maintain clean, safe, and organized work area.
• Complete pre-shift equipment inspections and report issues.
• Maintain production records and ensure product quality.
• Participate in safety, CI, and related programs.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Principle Duties And Responsibilities

• Completes work area set up.
• Operates and feeds the machine in a safe and efficient manner, and according to established procedures.
• Stacks completed products in accordance with established procedures, and if required, may cover, label and band components/finished product.
• Ensures work area is safe, clean and organized, and that equipment is safe to operate.
• Completes pre-shift/startup equipment inspection checklist and reports any problems or concerns.
• Maintains a clean and orderly work environment.
• Maintains production records as required.
• Checks materials and finished products to ensure compliance with standards.
• Performs duties consistent with established safety and quality procedures, rules, and standards.
• Participates in safety, CI and other programs and meetings.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
