Job summary

UFP Industries, Inc is seeking a Machine Operator I to set up and operate production equipment in accordance with established procedures. The role requires maintaining material supplies and ensuring a safe, organized work area.

The ideal candidate will have at least 6 months in manufacturing or assembly, basic math skills, and a willingness to follow safety and quality standards. This is a full-time position based in Texas.

Qualifications

• 6 months of manufacturing or assembling experience required.
• Working knowledge of basic math preferred.
• High school diploma/GED preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Set up work area for production.
• Operate and feed the machine safely and efficiently per procedures.
• Stack finished products as directed and label/band components if needed.
• Keep the work area safe, clean and organized; ensure equipment is safe to operate.
• Complete pre-shift startup inspection checklist and report issues.
• Maintain a clean and orderly work environment; record production data as required.
• Check materials and finished products for standards and quality.
• Follow safety and quality procedures and participate in programs and meetings.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Job Summary

Machine Operator I is responsible for the set up and operation of a production machine in accordance with established procedures and guidelines. Secures and maintains material and supplies required on the operation.

Principle Duties and Responsibilities

• Completes work area set up.
• Operates and feeds the machine in a safe and efficient manner, and according to established procedures.
• Stacks completed products in accordance with established procedures, and if required, may cover, label and band components/finished product.
• Ensures work area is safe, clean and organized, and that equipment is safe to operate.
• Completes pre-shift/startup equipment inspection checklist and reports any problems or concerns.
• Maintains a clean and orderly work environment.
• Maintains production records as required.
• Checks materials and finished products to ensure compliance with standards.
• Performs duties consistent with established safety and quality procedures, rules, and standards.
• Participates in safety, CI and other programs and meetings.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• High school diploma/GED is preferred but not required.
• Minimum of 6 months of experience in manufacturing and/or assembling is required.
• Working knowledge of basic math preferred
• High school diploma/GED preferred but not required.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
