Varcen Metal & Supply is seeking a dependable Machine Operator to support fabrication, delivery, and warehouse operations. You will safely operate metal fabrication machinery, fabricate materials to spec, and perform quality checks to ensure accuracy and timeliness.

This hands-on role requires a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and the ability to lift up to 100 lbs. A valid driver’s license and forklift experience are preferred; training is provided.

Formación

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 1–2 years in warehouse, yard, or fabrication.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
• Able to lift 75–100 lbs consistently.
• Able to stand, bend, twist, and climb ladders.
• Detail-oriented and efficient.
• Able to work independently and in a team.
• Follow safety procedures while operating equipment.

Responsabilidades

• Operate metal fabrication machinery safely and effectively.

• Assist with loading and delivering materials to job sites and warehouses.
• Accurately pick and prepare orders for delivery.
• Load delivery vehicles with focus on efficiency and accuracy.
• Maintain logs and production data.
• Assist with inventory management and cycle counts.
• Receive, log, and store incoming materials.
• Maintain clean, organized warehouse and yard.
• Support overall warehouse operations and company goals.
• Follow safety procedures and company policies.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by the General Manager.

About The Role

As a Machine Operator, you are responsible for supporting fabrication, delivery, and warehouse operations to ensure materials are produced and delivered efficiently and accurately. This is a hands-on role that requires attention to detail, strong work ethic, and the ability to operate equipment safely. This role is ideal for a dependable, self-motivated individual who thrives in a fast-paced environment and takes pride in producing quality work. You will play a key role in maintaining production standards, supporting logistics, and ensuring smooth day-to-day operations.

What You'll Do

• Operate metal fabrication machinery safely and effectively
• Fabricate materials accurately to meet customer specifications and company standards
• Perform quality control checks on all fabricated materials
• Assist with loading and delivering materials to job sites and warehouse locations
• Accurately pick and prepare orders for delivery
• Load delivery vehicles with a focus on efficiency and accuracy
• Maintain logs, records, and production data
• Assist with inventory management and cycle counts
• Receive, log, and properly store incoming materials
• Maintain a clean, organized warehouse, yard, and workstation
• Support overall warehouse operations and company goals
• Follow all safety procedures and company policies
• Perform additional duties as assigned by the General Manager

Minimum Skills & Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• 1–2 years of warehouse, yard, or fabrication experience preferred
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
• Ability to lift 75–100 lbs consistently
• Ability to stand, bend, twist, and climb ladders throughout the workday
• Strong attention to detail with a focus on organization and efficiency
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
• Positive attitude and team-oriented mindset
• Ability to follow all safety procedures while operating equipment
• Forklift experience or certification (preferred)
• Experience with metal fabrication or roofing materials (preferred)

The Pay Range For This Role Is

20 - 25 USD per hour(Varcen Lynchburg)
