Varcen Metal + Supply in Wytheville, VA is seeking a full-time warehouse/fabrication associate. You will operate metal fabrication machinery, handle quality control, and prepare orders to customer specs.

Hours are 7:00 am–4:00 pm with a lunch break; training pays $25 per hour, with potential to advance to a branch-management role earning $80,000–$100,000 annually.

Valid driver’s license required; the job involves lifting up to 100 lbs and working on-site with a safety-focused culture.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
• Ability to lift 75–100 lbs consistently and spend the workday standing, bending, and climbing ladders.
• Strong attention to detail, time management, and safety awareness.
• Preferred: 1–2 years warehouse/fabrication experience, forklift certification, or metal roofing knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Fabrication & Quality: Safely operate metal fabrication machinery, perform quality control checks, and build products to customer specifications.
• Logistics & Delivery: Accurately pick, prepare, load, and deliver materials to job sites and warehouse locations.
• Warehouse & Inventory: Assist with receiving, inventory cycle counts, and keeping the shop and yard organized.
• Operations & Safety: Maintain production records and adhere to all company safety policies.

• Job Type: Full-time

• Compensation: $25 per hour during training and the branch-building phase. As the branch grows, the role is expected to transition into a management position with an annual salary of $80,000–$100,000.
