Job summary

Varcen Metal & Supply is seeking a Machine Operator to assist fabrication, delivery, and warehouse activities. The role requires attention to detail and the ability to operate equipment safely in a fast-paced environment.

You will help maintain production standards, support logistics, and ensure smooth day-to-day operations across sites. Responsibilities include operating fabrication machinery, meeting specs, performing quality checks, loading/delivering materials, and maintaining logs.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 1-2 years of warehouse, yard, or fabrication experience preferred.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
• Ability to lift 75-100 lbs consistently.
• Ability to stand, bend, twist, and climb ladders throughout the workday.
• Forklift experience or certification (preferred).
• Experience with metal fabrication or roofing materials (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Operate metal fabrication machinery safely and effectively
• Fabricate materials accurately to meet customer specifications and company standards
• Perform quality control checks on all fabricated materials
• Assist with loading and delivering materials to job sites and warehouse locations
• Accurately pick and prepare orders for delivery
• Load delivery vehicles with a focus on efficiency and accuracy
• Maintain logs, records, and production data
• Assist with inventory management and cycle counts
• Receive, log, and properly store incoming materials
• Maintain a clean, organized warehouse, yard, and workstation
• Support overall warehouse operations and company goals
• Follow all safety procedures and company policies
• Perform additional duties as assigned by the General Manager

What You'll Do

The pay range for this role is:

20 - 25 USD per hour(Varcen Lynchburg)
