Job summary

Western States Metal Roofing is seeking a Metal Manufacturing Machine Operator to join our production team. You will set up, operate, and maintain metal fabrication machines to produce high-quality components in a fast-paced environment.

Applicants should have 1–2 years of manufacturing experience, preferably in the metal roofing and siding sector, and be proficient in reading blueprints and operating various machines. Safety and teamwork are essential to our process.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of manufacturing experience, preferably in metal roofing or siding.
• Experience with setup, calibration and operation.
• Ability to read blueprints and production drawings.

Responsibilities

• Operate metalworking machines such as presses, shears, rollers, CNC machines, or lathes.
• Read and interpret blueprints, work orders, and production drawings.
• Measure and inspect finished products to ensure specifications.
• Perform routine maintenance and troubleshoot equipment issues.
• Record production data and report material or equipment issues.
• Collaborate with team members and supervisors to meet production goals.

Work Experience

• Required Experience:

• Previous manufacturing experience in the metal roofing and siding industry
• Previous experience with setup, calibration, and operations

Physical Demands and Work Environment

• Ability to work and effectively communicate with production management.
• Ability to work in a fast paced environment in an effective, safe manner
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals.
• Must be able to stand for long periods of time, work in a non climate-controlled environment (Outside, hot / cold climates)
