Summary
The Mechanically Trained Operator (MTO) plays a key role in maintaining production efficiency by operating and maintaining high-speed manufacturing equipment. This position involves performing minor mechanical adjustments, troubleshooting issues, and collaborating with production and maintenance teams. The MTO helps ensure product quality, minimize downtime, and meet daily output goals. Success in this role requires technical knowledge, attention to detail, and a proactive approach to continuous improvement.
Requirements:
Operate, monitor, and adjust high-speed packaging and production equipment.
Perform minor mechanical maintenance including replacing belts, seals, and clearing jams.
Accurately record equipment performance, downtime, and maintenance activities.
Adhere to safety, food safety, and compliance standards during all tasks.
Qualifications:
1–2 years of experience in a manufacturing environment (high-speed packaging ).
High school diploma or GED required; technical mechanical training is a plus.
Basic knowledge of mechanical systems and proficiency with hand tools.
Strong problem-solving skills and ability to communicate effectively in English; bilingual in Spanish is a plus.
