Position Title: Machine Operator
Wage: $18.50/hour
Shift: 3rd
Hours: 6:20pm - 6:30am
Join a global leader in innovative packaging technologies at their Mukwonago facility! This company specializes in creating breakthrough product-dispensing systems that enhance everyday life. This is an associate-to-hire role.
Machine Operator Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Arriving 5 minutes before the start of the shift to communicate with the previous shift.
- Reading the activity board for scheduled color changes, conversions, and set-ups.
- Creating, labeling, and numbering boxes.
- Reading shop orders for product requirements and verifying that box labels match products.
- Answering bells, checking for stuck parts, and using the Process Monitor on presses.
- Cleaning machines after production activities to maintain efficiency.
- Operating emergency stops on closing machines, grinders, auxiliary equipment, and understanding lockout/tagout procedures when necessary.
- Operating and maintaining various manufacturing equipment; sometimes operating multiple machines to cover breaks/lunch.
- Examining and discarding defective goods and packaging components; inspecting products for gross defects.
- Monitoring machine operations to ensure finished products meet quality and quantity standards.
- Supporting and adhering to all system procedures and company policies.
- Communicating any gross defects or issues to the technical team and team members.
Machine Operator Requirements:
- Ability to lift up to 30 pounds throughout the shift.
- Good hand-eye coordination, excellent dexterity, and mechanical aptitude.
- Ability to distinguish colors, evidenced by a maximum score of 80 on the Farnsworth-Munsell Color Test.
- Ability to stand, sit, bend, and twist throughout the shift.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Ability to work effectively in a team and communicate with others.
- Ability to perform mathematical averages and understand decimals.
- Adherence to dress code and PPE requirements.
