Machine Operator 3rd Shift - $2 Shift Premium

Job Overview

The Machine Operator will be responsible for operating equipment in the value streams of the Good Hope operations. This role involves producing valuable, defect-free products that meet or exceed customer expectations by executing standard work and adhering to company policies.

Responsibilities
  • Follow Schedule Boards or Hour by Hour boards
  • Print and produce products matching order specifications; perform hand finishing as required
  • Conduct final pre-run inspections, quality checks during production, and job completion assessments
  • Perform preventive maintenance on applicable equipment
  • Handle and dispose of hazardous materials safely
  • Work from standard work, instructions, and procedures
  • Address routine inquiries and escalate complex issues to supervisors
  • Coordinate with different shifts for updates on jobs and issues
  • Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent
  • Basic computer skills (Email, Microsoft Office, Data Entry)
  • Basic math skills
  • Ability to lift and carry 50 lbs safely
  • Stand for 80%-100% of shift; push/pull 22 lbs
  • Climb 8 inches; frequent standing and walking
  • Effective communication skills
  • Technical and analytical skills
  • Ability to read and follow written instructions
  • Detail-oriented with a strong work ethic
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Mechanical aptitude (hand tools, pneumatic tools)
  • Read a ruler accurately within 1/64 inch
