JOB REQUIREMENTS: Are you ready to play a crucial role in our production process? We are seeking a dedicated Production Machine Operator to join our dynamic team. In this role, you'll operate our envelope production machines at our climate-controlled Butler facility, near Milwaukee. Machine Operators safely operate our fast-running envelope machines in a production environment. They examine work orders to meet specifications, inspect product quality according to established guidelines using tools like a ruler, and pack envelopes uniformly and neatly, keeping up with machine speeds. Your attention to detail and commitment to quality will help us uphold high standards and deliver top-notch products to our customers. You can also earn 80 hours of paid vacation and up to 3 sick days within your first year while working in a climate-controlled facility. SHIFTS AVAILABLE: 2nd Shift: 2:30 pm - 10:30 pm, M-F, with a $0.75/hr shift premium.

WHAT DOES MY WORKDAY LOOK LIKE IN THIS ROLE?

  • Loads, unloads, and moves materials, tooling, and finished products within the plant.
  • Operates a hand truck to assist in loading or moving materials and products.
  • Counts, weighs, and records units of materials handled daily.
  • Removes, empties, and returns paper waste bins, depositing waste in recycling containers.
  • Primarily responsible for the quality of the product made by their assigned machine.
  • Maintains adequate levels of adhesive and paper to ensure continuous production.
  • Applies inspection procedures to all produced envelopes.
  • Maintains machine speeds as set by the supervisor and adjuster.

OTHER EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Prior experience operating a machine in a manufacturing or production facility.
  • Manual dexterity and strong initiative.
  • Team player with basic math skills (adding, subtracting, multiplying, dividing).
  • Preferred: prior manufacturing experience.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Stand for the duration of the shift (minus breaks).
  • Lift up to 20 lbs frequently and up to 50 lbs occasionally.
  • Perform repetitive grasping, twisting, reaching, bending, and stooping.
  • Have tactile/touch sensory ability, near and far visual acuity, color and peripheral vision, depth perception, and focus adjustment.
  • Apply reasoning, mechanical aptitude, and mathematical skills for equipment operation.
