Responsibilities

• Ensure quality of finished products within customer specifications.
• Enter and review key film properties in computer.
• Complete safety orientation and forklift, pole truck, clamp truck, and claw truck certification training.
• Learn and perform thread-up and winding procedures according to company standards.
• Follow core cutting procedures to support production operations.
• Maintain production rolls and wrap removal per procedures.
• Document logs and paperwork accurately.
• Adhere to all safety policies and guidelines.

Machine Operator

Automation Personnel Services is looking for Machine Operators for a company based in Nashville, TN. In this role, you will have the opportunity to advance your career with a leading global manufacturer of specialty materials including construction materials and hygiene products.

Pay Rate

$20.00 per hour

Schedule and Hours

This position follows a 12-hour block schedule (does not rotate)

• Day Shift: 4:45 AM – 5:00 PM
• Night Shift: 4:45 PM – 5:00 AM

• Week 1: Work 3 days, off 2 days, work 2 days (36 hours)
• Week 2: Off 2 days, work 3 days, off 2 days (48 hours)

Machine Operator Duties and Responsibilities

• Assist in producing and controlling the quality of film produced.
• Ensure quality of finished products are within customer specifications.
• Learn how to accurately enter and review key film properties in computer.
• Complete safety orientation and forklift, pole truck, clamp truck, and claw truck certification training
• Learn and perform thread‑up and winding procedures according to company standards
• Learn and follow proper core cutting procedures to support production operations
• Maintain process rolls by following established procedures for roll care, cleaning, and film wrapping removal
• Complete proper documentation in logs and other paperwork
• Adhere to all safety policies and procedures and work within the safety guidelines

Machine Operator Qualifications and Requirements

• Previous experience in manufacturing is required
• Ability to read and interpret work order sheets and identify materials by part numbers
• Ability to stand and walk for a 12–hour shift including climbing stairs
• Ability to wear PPE including steel toe shoes, safety glasses, hearing protection hair / beard nets
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs with ease
• Drug screen and criminal background check required
