Job summary

Elite Staffing Inc. is seeking a Machine Operator/Production Operator in Smithville, TN. The role involves operating machines, assembling and inspecting products across a cell group, and contributing as an active team member to meet production goals.

Responsibilities include following work orders and safety guidelines, performing changeovers as needed, and supporting coworkers at other stations. Overtime may be required; shifts run 1st, 2nd, and 3rd with varying hours.

Job description

Machine Operator/Production Operator

Operate machines completing one or more processes toward the manufacturing of components. Perform as an active team member in supporting and performing all the tasks within a cell group.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• The employee must be able to handle materials and tools, operate machines, assemble and inspect all products of varying shape, sizes and weights.
• The employee must perform the above within acceptable quality, quantity, performance and safety standards.
• The employee must perform his/her job within acceptable safety, environmental, quality, productivity and performance standards as outlined in plant policies, handbooks, and applicable work instructions.
• Overtime as required/requested.

ADDITIONAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Clean the machine and surrounding work area.
• Operate machines as assigned to assist co-workers at other workstations as needed.
• Perform or assist in part changeovers.

CRITICAL SKILLS/QUALIFICATIONS:

• The employee must have a high school diploma or GED in hand.

Must pass a Drug Screen and have acceptable Background

1st – 6:30PM – 2:45PM

2nd Shift – 2:30PM- 10:45PM

3rd Shift – 10:30PM – 6:45AM

$18.00 per hour – ($27.00 /hr for OT)

1st and 3rd shift 8 hr shifts for now.

3rd week of September we will go to 12 hr shift- rotation. This means they will work 2-3 days and 2-3 days off.
