Job summary

Pro Resources Staffing Services is seeking a skilled metal fabrication operator to run press brakes and related equipment on a 3rd shift (Mon-Fri 9:30 PM–6:00 AM) in Indiana. You will read blueprints, set up tooling, and produce accurate cuts and bends on sheet metal.

Responsibilities include interpreting drawings, performing precision inspections with calipers and micrometers, and helping with routine maintenance and troubleshooting to minimize downtime.

Qualifications

• Operates press brakes and CNC equipment per specs.
• Reads blueprints and mechanical drawings.
• Performs CNC setup and programming for precision tasks.
• Familiar with Hurco or LVD controls a plus.
• Maintains safety standards in production environments.
• Uses calipers, micrometers for precision measurements.

Shift and Compensation

3rd Shift Monday-Friday 9:30 PM-6:00 AM Pay: $16.50/hr

Responsibilities

• Operate press brakes and other fabrication equipment - including CNC laser cutters, stamping presses, and related machinery - to shape sheet metal components according to technical drawings and specifications
• Set up tooling and fixtures accurately to ensure precise cuts and bends in sheet metal fabrication
• Interpret mechanical blueprints and technical drawings to guide setup and production
• Conduct quality inspections using calipers, micrometers, and other precision measuring instruments to verify dimensions and adherence to specifications
• Follow proper safety procedures when operating machinery and handling hand tools and other equipment
• Perform routine maintenance on machinery to ensure optimal performance
• Assist with troubleshooting machine issues to minimize downtime

Skills & Qualifications

• Proficiency operating manufacturing machinery such as press brakes, CNC equipment, plasma cutters, welding equipment, and EDM (electrical discharge machining) tools
• Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to accurately interpret blueprints and technical drawings
• Experience with CNC programming and setup for precision machining tasks
• Experience with Hurco or LVD controls a plus
• Solid understanding of safety standards in production environments
• Ability to perform precision measurements using calipers, micrometers, and other quality inspection tools
• Familiarity with sheet metal fabrication techniques, including tooling setup and assembly
• Basic math skills for measurements, machining tolerances, and process adjustments
