LEWCO, Inc. in Ohio seeks a skilled machine operator to support fabrication of steel products. You will operate CNC equipment including laser, press brakes, lathe, mill and plasma, and perform setups per engineering specs.
The role requires reading mechanical drawings, basic math, and familiarity with calibration tools. You will collaborate in a tight shop environment on 2nd shift (Mon-Thurs 4:30 pm - 3:00 am) and contribute to quality and continuous improvement.
2nd Shift: Monday - Thursday 4:30 pm - 3:00 am
Individuals in this position operate metal working machinery to assist in the fabrication of steel products.
None. However, Machine Operators that support their supervisor in managing team members may earn a Cell Leader role.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds; occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
The work environment is an industrial metal fabrication shop with exposure to machinery, fumes, and airborne particles. The noise level in the non-air-conditioned work environment is usually moderate. All required PPE, including steel toe shoes, must be worn and a clean work environment must be maintained.
