Job summary

QPS Employment Group is seeking a Machine Operator for Manitowoc, WI. You will operate typical machine operations to support production and shipping, and maintain a clean, safe work area.

The role requires a high school diploma, basic math and measurement skills, ability to read blueprints and schematics, and strong safety awareness. This is a 3rd shift position with wage of $16.75–$18.75 per hour and opportunities for skills development.

Qualifications

• Minimum of High School Diploma.
• Experience in a manufacturing setting preferred.
• Mechanical and electrical skills, blueprints/schematics reading preferred.
• Ability to read work instructions and use basic math.
• Safety awareness and attention to detail are required.
• English reading and comprehension required.

Responsibilities

• Operates machines to support production and shipping.
• Detects and reports defective materials or conditions to supervision.
• Maintains a clean, safe work area and follows safety regulations.
• Performs prescribed maintenance per PM charts.
• Performs deburring, molding, bench operations and inspection as needed.
• Assists with machine setup and basic troubleshooting.

Position Title: Machine Operator

Wage: $16.75 - $18.75/Hour

Shift: 3rd

Hours: 1st: 06:00 am - 02:00 pm 1st, 2nd: 02:00 pm - 10:00 pm 3rd: 10:00 pm - 06:00 am

Location: Manitowoc, WI

Machine Operator Responsibilities:

• Performs typical machine operations to support production and shipping.
• Detects and reports defective materials or questionable conditions to the department supervisor.
• Maintains the work area and equipment in a clean orderly condition and follows prescribed safety regulations.
• Performs prescribed preventative maintenance on machines as required per the P.M. charts.
• Must be able to perform but not limited to the following tasks: de-burring, molding and all bench operations and inspect.
• Must be willing to accept and receive frequent supervision and assistance with regard to machine set-up.
• Must be familiar with the basic machine functions in order to perform the tasks stated above.

Requirements for Machine Operator:

• Minimum of High School Diploma
• Prior production experience in a manufacturing setting preferred
• Mechanical and electrical skills, metal fabrication, ability to read blueprints and schematics preferred
• Ability to utilize computer platforms to access work instructions
• Safety Awareness-Ability to identify and correct conditions that affect employee safety
• Ability to read, speak, and comprehend English is required
• Ability to perform critical thinking and problem solving
• High attention to detail
• Ability to perform simple math and measurements
