Job summary

Kelly Services is hiring a Machine Operator in Madison Heights, MI to operate rotational molding equipment and produce plastic parts.

You will load molds, monitor cycles, perform mold changes and maintenance, and ensure safety, quality, and a clean workspace. The role runs Friday–Sunday, 5:00am–5:00pm with potential overtime, with opportunities to grow within a supportive team.

Qualifications

• Basic math knowledge and computer literacy required.
• Must be physically able to stand, walk, reach, bend, squat, crawl and lift up to 50 pounds.
• Willing to work a Friday–Sunday schedule with overtime possibility.
• Strong commitment to safety, quality and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Set up, operate and monitor rotational molding equipment to produce plastic parts.
• Load and unload molds; ensure proper placement of materials and components.
• Monitor production cycles, machine settings and product quality.
• Perform mold changes, machine adjustments, upkeep and preventive maintenance.
• Trim, finish and assemble molded parts.
• Inspect parts and conduct quality audits.
• Maintain a clean and organized workspace.

Pay Rate: $22.00 per hour

Shift:

Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, 5:00am - 5:00pm 36 hours/week, with possible overtime

What’s a typical day as Machine Operator? You’ll be:

• Setting up, operating, and monitoring rotational molding equipment to produce high-quality plastic parts

• Loading and unloading molds, ensuring proper placement of materials and components

• Monitoring production cycles, machine settings, and product quality

• Performing mold changes, machine adjustments, upkeep, and preventive maintenance

• Trimming, finishing, and assembling molded parts

• Inspecting parts and conducting quality audits
