Job summary

Amcor is seeking a dedicated team member in Jackson, Tennessee. This role involves safely operating equipment, monitoring product quality, and completing daily production reports. Job description

Responsibilities

• Report to front line leadership.
• Work as a team member to obtain plant & departmental goals.
• Safely operate equipment to ensure maximum product throughput and minimum downtime, including clearing and restarting machinery as necessary.
• Visually inspect & gauge product in production and document inspection results.
• Report any non-conformances to front line leadership.
• Correctly complete daily production reports and submit at shift’s end.
• Feed materials to machines to keep production running.
• Read & interpret traveler/work order.
• Operate & understand MATTEC software.
• Perform routine housekeeping, cleaning and maintenance as assigned/required.
• Uphold Safety Absolutes.
• Work & perform to ISO standards, SOPs and established Work Instructions.
• Uphold Quality Standards & follow the Absolutes.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Capable of physical mobility including sitting, bending, twisting, standing, and lifting.
• Capable of reading, writing, and speaking English.
• Capable of lifting up to 35 lbs repeatedly.
• Capable of complying with all Safety requirements including the use of PPE: PPE includes but is not limited to Bump Cap or Hard Hat, Safety Eyewear or Prescription Safety Eyewear, Safety Shoes, Hearing Protection and Disposable Mask.
• Capable of maintaining an attendance record within Company guidelines and working required overtime.
• High School Graduate or equivalent.
• Negative drug screen results.
• Work in a safe manner.
• Previous experience in an assembly operation preferred.

Additional Information

• 12 hour shift (2 Days On, 2 Days Off, 3 Days On, 2 Days Off, 2 Days On, 3 Days Off)
• Climate Controlled Environment
• Additional $1.50/hr differential for night shift.
