Kelly Services in Hudson, NH is seeking 2nd and 3rd shift Machine Operators to operate injection molding machines, inspect and properly package parts. The role demands following instructions, maintaining quality, and assisting with training and ERP tasks.

Requires 1–2 years in a machine operator role in plastics, English literacy, and, preferably, cleanroom experience. High school diploma or equivalent is required.

Location Hudson, NH

pay rate / $20.35-23.00

2nd Shift: Monday- Friday 3pm-1130pm

3rd Shift: Monday night-Saturday morning: 11pm-730am

Position Overview:

The primary responsibilities of the Machine Operator II are to operate injection molding machines, including inspection, assembly, and proper packaging.

Essential Job Functions:

• Follow written and oral instructions accurately.
• Operate complex jobs requiring auxiliary equipment and handloads.
• Maintain proficiency and quality while meeting or exceeding production standards.
• Assist with training others as needed.
• Perform basic transactions in ERP software, including scrap, downtime, and inventory lookup.
• Utilize a computer to self-train in procedures.
• Promote a safe and clean work environment and support 5S practices, conducting 5S audits.
• Set up workstations for new jobs, including leveling and setting up scales, verifying labels and work orders, and ensuring proper packaging at the workstation.
• Identify, report, and alert leads/supervisors to quality issues such as flash, splay, and contamination.
• Use magnifying lamps, microscopes, go/no-go gauges, calipers, micrometers, vision systems, and TAPPI charts to verify part compliance with customer specifications.
• Understand and interpret engineering drawings while updating in-process QC records during production.
• Accurately weigh, count, and package finished goods for shipping according to printed instructions on the Work Order and Program Information Guide.
• Perform operator functions in a cleanroom environment, following cleanroom procedures, including gowning, ungowning, and transferring material into and out of the cleanroom.
• Maintain logs of production and scrap information on P-charts.
• Perform basic mathematical calculations, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division, to understand and interpret scrap rates.
• Use small hand tools to trim flash and gates from parts.
• Visually inspect and identify defects in parts with and without visual aids.
• Attend mandatory training sessions regularly and maintain punctual attendance.

Education, Skills, Training, and Experience:

• Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in a Machine Operator role within the plastic injection molding or associated industry, or proficiency in multiple competencies of more complex jobs.
• Ability to read and write in English.
• Cleanroom experience preferred.
• Strong analytical and numerical skills, with a competency in performing mathematical calculations.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Understanding of plastic molded part defects.

• Required to sit, stand, walk, and bend as needed.
