Kelly Services is seeking a Machine Operator to support a premier manufacturing client in Kutztown, PA. The role offers a competitive hourly rate and a rotating 7 P to 7 A shift (2/2/3).

You will handle extrusion-related packaging tasks, testing, and light maintenance while contributing to a safety‑driven, team‑oriented environment. The position emphasizes accuracy with measurements, math skills, and the ability to lift up to 40 lbs.

Qualifications

• Must be able to read metric tape measures.
• Basic math skills required.
• Capable of lifting up to 40 lbs repeatedly and standing for long shifts.
• Able to work effectively as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Receive finished plastic sheeting from the extruder and stack pallets.
• Mark sheet counts and replace rolls of tape, protective covering, barcodes, and other materials.
• Perform light transmission and product control tests and make corrections as needed.
• Conduct length/width and pallet changes, silo setup, and handling of raw materials.
• Assist with color changes, basic machine maintenance, startup/shutdown procedures, and thickness changes.
• Complete yellow tagging procedures and documentation.
• Carry out other duties as directed.

What’s a typical day as Machine Operator? You’ll be:

• Receiving finished plastic sheeting from the extruder and creating neatly stacked pallets
• Marking sheet counts and completing replacement of rolls of tape, protective covering, barcodes, and other materials
• Performing Light Transmission and Product Control tests, making necessary corrections
• Conducting length/width and pallet changes, silo setup, and operation of raw materials
• Assisting with color changes, basic machine maintenance and cleaning, start up and shut down procedures, and thickness changes
• Completing yellow tagging procedures and documentation
• Carrying out other duties and activities as directed
