Toyota Material Handling North America (TMHNA) in East Chicago, IN is seeking a Machine Operator to run the Trumpf laser cutting machine and manage material handling on a 6:30 am to 3:00 pm schedule. You will work with a team, ensure production standards, and participate in maintenance logging.

This in-person role requires hands-on skill and reliability. Ideal candidates have 2–5 years operating machines, strong mechanical aptitude, and the ability to follow blueprints.

The Role:

We’re seeking a passionate and dedicated Machine Operator who brings enthusiasm, energy, and expertise to the table. In this role, you’ll operate our Trumpf steel cutting CNC machine according to blueprints and specifications , while collaborating with a dynamic and diverse team to achieve shared goals. If you enjoy tackling challenges with positivity and a bit of humor, you’ll feel right at home here.

What You’ll Be Doing:

• Operating the Trumpf laser cutting machine
• Lifting and handling of steel plates using overhead crane, clamps, and magnets
• Labeling and organizing parts to meet production standards
• Maintaining equipment preventative maintenance schedule logs

What We’re Looking For:

• At least 2-5 years of experience operating machines
• Mechanical aptitude (skilled using hand tools and instruments)
• Able to organize assigned tasks for completion alone or with help.
• Ability to pass pre-employment background checks and drug screening

What Sets You Apart:

• Experience operating multiple machines at once
• Fast-paced individual willing to cross-train
• Ability to troubleshoot alarms and understand the technicalities of the machine

Where and When You’ll Work:

• This is an in-person role, located at our East Chicago, IN facility, which is ideal for those who thrive in a hands-on, team-oriented environment.
• Monday through Friday, 6:30 am to 3:00 pm with occasional overtime
