Hoist Material Handling, Inc. in East Chicago, IN is seeking a Welder to join the Toyota Heavy Duty Team. The role involves fabricating and repairing metal parts using welding techniques, in a safe and efficient manner, with a collaborative, energetic team.

The ideal candidate has at least 2 years of welding experience, ability to read blueprints, and strong teamwork and communication skills. This is a full-time, in-person position with hours 6:30 am–3:00 pm, offering a competitive hourly wage

Qualifications

• At least 2 years of welding experience.
• Experience using welding machinery and hand tools.
• Specific vision abilities required: close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
• Ability to communicate effectively.
• Ability to pass pre-employment background checks and drug screening.
• Reading and interpreting blueprints and schematics.

Responsibilities

• Operate welding equipment and fabricating/repairing metal parts.
• Measure, cut, assemble, and weld materials as required.
• Notify the supervisor when an item is complete and ready for inspection.
• Repair customer equipment as required.
• Meet or exceed production and quality requirements.
• Pay attention to detail to ensure proper function and performance of installed parts.

The Role:

We’re seeking a passionate and dedicated Welder who brings enthusiasm, energy, and expertise to the table. In this role, will fabricate and repair metal, equipment, parts, and other materials by applying welding techniques in a safe and efficient manner, while collaborating with a dynamic and diverse team to achieve shared goals. What You’ll Be Doing:

• Operating equipment, including but not limited to: saws, drills, grinders/buffers, plasma cutters, MIG welder/torches, pallet jacks, arc, gouging, jib, and overhead cranes
• Measuring, cutting, assembling, and welding materials as required
• Notify the supervisor when an item is complete and ready for inspection
• Repair customer equipment as required
• Meeting/exceeding customer requirements for production and quality
• Pay close attention to detail to ensure proper function and performance of installed/fabricated parts

What We’re Looking For:
