Peoplelink Staffing Solutions is seeking a Machine Operator for a premier manufacturing facility in Clare, MI. This is a contract to hire, full-time position on 2nd shift with starting pay between $17-20/hr depending on experience.

Responsibilities include operating forklifts, overhead cranes and hoists, reading blueprints, performing quality checks, and using measurement tools such as tape measures, calipers, and micrometers. Safety and teamwork are essential to success.

Qualifications

• Experience operating forklifts and overhead cranes.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
• Competent with inspection tools (tape measure, caliper, micrometer).

Peoplelink Staffing Solutions is seeking a Machine Operator for a premier manufacturing facility in Clare, MI. This facility is a global leader in industrial loading dock and warehouse equipment.
Job Type: Full Time, 2ndShift
Pay:Starting at $17-20/hr+ (based on experience)

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned. Operates forklifts, overhead cranes and hoists.

Verifies that materials are proper type and dimension, prior to cutting/drilling. Sets up and operates equipment following all safety guidelines. Utilize work orders and QC packets to complete work accurately. Read, interpret and utilize blue prints.

Ensure quality checks have been done prior to sending parts to the next operation.

Verifies work using common measurement tools. (tape measure, caliper, micrometer) Maintain tight tolerances as required by engineering and customer specifications. Use jigs and fixtures to maintain consistent quality. Confers with engineers, production personnel, or supervisor to resolve any problems.

Responsible for ensuring cutting tools and drill bits are in good condition, and must change out if required. Float to different areas within the cut room, based on needs and supervisor’s direction. Responsible for executing and supporting the quality system and procedures in the effort for continuous improvement.
