Peoplelink Staffing Solutions is seeking a mechanically inclined Machining Operator for a first-shift, temp-to-hire opportunity. This position is ideal for someone with machining experience, strong attention to detail, and the ability to use precision measuring instruments.
Operate lathes, chamfer machines, bar choppers, U-bolt benders, and various assembly machines
Perform tooling changeovers and machine startups
Read blueprints and follow production specifications
Measure parts using calipers, micrometers, pitch micrometers, rulers, tape measures, thread rings, and scales
Process orders accurately according to the production schedule
Record inventory using internal LOP and Kanban programs
Complete production paperwork accurately
Monitor part quality and production rates
Record and report preventive equipment maintenance
Follow EPCO’s quality and safety programs
General mechanical or machining experience
Ability to read and interpret blueprints
Experience using hand gauges and precision measuring instruments
Strong manual dexterity and mechanical aptitude
Ability to perform tooling changeovers
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
Strong attention to detail and product quality
Dependable attendance and reliable work habits
High school diploma or GED required
Complete all tasks included in the training matrix
Consistently meet production rates
Machine orders accurately and on schedule
Complete all production paperwork correctly
Update inventory accurately using the LOP/Kanban system
Measure products correctly to maintain quality
Perform required machine changeovers and startups
Complete preventive-maintenance records
Follow EPCO’s quality program
