Job summary

Adecco US, Inc. in Chattanooga is seeking Machine Operators to support plastic film extrusion, recycling and reprocessing, packaging and quality control. Entry-level candidates are welcome; you will operate equipment, monitor quality, and complete production documentation.

Machine Operators are responsible for safely operating equipment, maintaining housekeeping, and contributing to efficient production operations in a fast-paced setting. Training and advancement opportunities are available.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills are a plus.
• Ability to read work instructions, production documents, labels, and specifications.
• Basic math and measurement skills.
• Ability to operate industrial equipment safely after training.
• Forklift experience or willingness to obtain certification is a plus.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Willingness to work a rotating 12-hour schedule and overtime as needed.

Responsibilities

• Operate manufacturing and processing equipment in accordance with established procedures and safety guidelines.
• Monitor machine performance, process settings, temperatures, pressures, and material flow to ensure production targets and quality standards are met.
• Package, label, palletize, and prepare finished products for shipment.
• Perform quality inspections and identify defects, abnormalities, or process deviations.
• Assist with equipment startups, shutdowns, product changeovers, and equipment cleaning.
• Load raw materials and maintain proper material identification and traceability.
• Complete production records, quality documentation, and work orders accurately.
• Perform routine equipment inspections and basic troubleshooting.
• Maintain clean, organized work areas while following 5S standards.
• Communicate production, equipment, quality, and safety concerns to supervisors and team members.
• Follow all safety procedures, PPE requirements, and plant policies.
• Support team operations by assisting in various production departments as needed.

Pay

• Day Shift: $17.00/hour

• Night Shift: $17.50/hour

Schedule

• 12-hour rotating schedule

• Day Shift: 8:00 AM - 8:00 PM

• Night Shift: 8:00 PM - 8:00 AM

• Rotation: 2 days on, 2 days off

Position Summary

We are seeking reliable and motivated Machine Operators to join our manufacturing team. In this role, you will support and operate various production processes involved in plastic film extrusion, recycling and reprocessing, packaging, and quality control. Opportunities are available for entry-level candidates as well as individuals with prior machine operation or manufacturing experience.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods throughout the shift.

• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.

• Ability to work in a manufacturing environment around moving equipment, industrial machinery, and varying temperatures.

• Ability to safely work around hot surfaces and mechanical equipment.

Pay Details: $17.00 to $17.50 per hour
