Job summary

Barletta Boat Company in Bristol, IN is seeking a Machine Operator to operate and maintain production equipment for pontoon boat fabrication. You will read work orders, set up machines, and perform quality checks to ensure parts meet specifications in a fast-paced indoor setting.

Qualifications

  • Previous machine operator experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
  • Must be able to stand, walk, push, pull, and lift up to 50 lbs for 8+ hours.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
  • Flexibility to work overtime and weekends.

Responsibilities

  • Operate and monitor Tube Seamers, CNC Routers, Press Brakes, Shears, Benders, and other production machinery
  • Set up machines according to production specifications
  • Perform routine quality checks and verify precision of machined components
  • Identify and report defects or production issues
  • Follow all safety guidelines and report concerns immediately
  • Collaborating with production team members to achieve daily goals
  • Maintain accurate production records and machine settings
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement and contribute ideas to enhance efficiency and productivity
  • Collaborate with the quality control team to meet and maintain high-quality standards
  • Coordinate with maintenance personnel for repairs or adjustments
  • Support a Barletta Safe culture by adhering to and advocating for the safest behaviors and proactively identifying opportunities to mitigate job-related risks and hazards

About the Role

The Production Team Member - Machine Operator plays a critical role in the manufacturing process by operating and maintaining production equipment that supports the construction of premium pontoon boats. This position helps ensure accuracy, quality, efficiency, and on-time production. This position is responsible for ensuring the accurate and efficient cutting of materials used in the fabrication of pontoon boats and related components. Machine Operators must follow safety procedures, read and interpret work orders and measurements, and perform quality checks to ensure all parts meet production specifications. Working closely with other manufacturing team members, you will help maintain production schedules while contributing to the overall quality and craftsmanship of our products.

What You’ll Do

What Makes You a Great Fit
