Job summary

Barletta Boats in Bristol, IN is hiring a Production Team Member – Shipping to load pontoon boats onto trailers, build the load on trailers, and follow all safety policies. The role requires physical work outdoors in heat, rain, and snow, with higher hours at month end.

A strong work ethic, teamwork, and safety awareness are essential. You will perform hoist-based loading/unloading, inspect hoists daily, and assist with basic maintenance while adhering to Barletta Safe culture.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to stand, walk, push, pull, bend, kneel, climb, squat for 8+ hours and lift 40 lbs+.
• Able to work in heat, rain, and snow; overtime in month-end period.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload pontoon boats using a hoist system.
• Conduct daily safety checks and basic preventative maintenance on hoists.
• Follow safety policies and procedures; support Barletta Safe culture.
• Respond quickly to multiple requests in a fast-paced environment.
• Complete supervisor-assigned tasks to meet production goals.
• Adapt to climate and outdoor/indoor conditions while working.

About the Role

The Production Team Member – Shipping is responsible for loading and strapping the pontoon boats to the trailers, also building the steel on the trailers for the load while following all safety policies and procedures. Individuals in this role must have a strong work ethic and the ability to work in a fast-paced and team-focused environment, and be able to work in heat, rain, and snow. Shipping associates work longer hours at the end of the month so must be flexible in the last week of each month.

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Willingness to learn and adapt to new processes and technologies.
• Must have the ability to perform all physical requirements required of the position, including but not limited to: ability to stand, walk, push, pull, bend, kneel, climb, squat for 8+ hours and lift upward of 40 lbs.
• Ability to adapt to climate, inside and outside
• Must display good verbal and written communication skills
• Must be able to follow policies and procedures and wear required PPE
